Plan your materials.

Wood obstacles: 2×4 ribs at 8 inches on center maximum along the riding surface. Rails: steel tube, legs and feet.

Material defaults & estimating assumptions

Quarter pipes and mini ramps use at least two thin riding layers. Mini-ramp flat bottoms use the same layers; top decks use the separate flat-deck plywood. Bay width is an estimating assumption, not a verified span.

Rib breakdown & limitations

Planning estimate, not structural plans or an exact cut list. Sheet counts are area-based; verify panel layouts, steel sections, spans, joints, welds, fastener specifications and local conditions before buying or building. Combined totals do not subtract overlapping pieces or shared framing. Reference: DIY Skate mini-ramp construction · Skatelite installation resources.
